Last Saturday there was this event thing going on to welcome home the soldiers (and their families) that had come home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Vet. Tech program did a petting zoo and horseback rides for the kiddos.
Even though I'm not too impressed on some of these wars going on, I thought this was a nice event.
Many of these soldiers haven't seen their kids for a long time, and it was nice to help create an event where they could spend some time and "reconnect" a little.
Many smiley faces and nice people!
Here are some pictures
Patches, one of our horses in the Vet. Tech program, getting all fancy'd up.
Little kitty
This is what Jake would look like if he was a Llama.
Tandem-riding
This girl did a no-hander
Our little calf, Nemo, got a little tired
Piggy-wiggies got tired too
Yum yum, a balloon
I think the goats stood on the hay bales more then the floor
This little boy was so cute, and he was so gentle and kind to the animals
Oh-O, crazy looking piggy
Notice where the goats in this picture are standing, haha!
They had a cool train there too!
Very cute event. Props to Jamie who put it all together for the Vet. Tech class!
