Birthday

For my birthday we went "home" to Pocatello.
Janet, Angie and I went out to Arbon and rode horses with Juli.
That was my favorite birthday present!
When we got back to Juli's house, we had a bonfire and made hot dogs on a stick.
I was full until 11.00 a.m. this morning from my birthday dinner.

Thanks ladies!

Constructive criticism?

So today...hahaha...it's pretty funny. Today we got an email from a potential future customer who wanted to buy a fishing pole from our WEBSITE
(For those of you who doesn't know; Jake and Mark started a fly rod company)
This guy came with some constructive criticism. Don't get me wrong, we do like feedback, and his email had both good and "bad" feedback.
The one thing he wanted to see that we don't have much of today, was more pictures.
He said:
"The picture of the guy fishing looked like it was taken out of a nineties fishing magazine."
So I say to Jake:
"I don't think my picture looks nineties."
So we go to the website and look at it and Jake says:
"Me neither....except for maybe my hairdo...and my mustache."
Then we just busted out laughing
Yes, Jake does look a little nineties, doesn't he?

By the way. Today I thought Jake an old Norwegian sailor expression. I told him that you can never go wrong with this expression. So now he goes around saying:
SPLITTE MINE BRAMSEIL!!! AAAARGH!
Hehehehehe

Mudball

Every year the agriculture department at my school has some kind of a contest and a barbeque. Last year we had a relay called Ride Run Ride Row, where you ride a lap on a bike, run a lap, ride a lap on a horse and then paddle in a kayak. The whole time you have to carry an egg with you. Lets just say, our egg broke already during the bike lap last year, haha!
This year they did mudball (dodgeball in the mud or "kanonball" as we call it in Norway). I kind of wanted to join in, but I don't throw a ball very good (it never goes where I want it to go) + I'm taller than most people so everyone shoots the ball at me because - let's face it, I'm an easy target. Due to this I volunteered to take photos instead.
The vet tech girls didn't do very good (I have a feeling the vet tech program never does...?). It's like when I went to Tegning Form og Farge (/Art school) in high school, we never won any soccer games either to put it that way.
Anyways, here are some pictures. Note the lady in green scrubs, she is my teacher Dr. Rockett. I think these games are the highlight of the year for her, she gets pretty competitive. It's fun to watch - if everyone had her spirit, these games would be crazy fun to watch.

The professors had their own team, and they got pretty into it!

Look at this kid, he got hit right in the dome, hahaha!

Goggles. Smart guy.

Some people avoided the balls in style!

And then I don't know what happened, but the field turned into a war zone

At the end they had this game "ride a bike and throw a pie at the other person"-kind of thing. I don't know who won this one, but it by the looks of it Rockett might have lost.

Good game, peeps. I'm proud of you.
